Co-founded by Shengze Zhu and Zhengfan Yang, who have been collaborating since 2012, BURN THE FILM is dedicated to creating, producing, and supporting singular moving-image works with a unique personal voice.

BURN THE FILM has produced seven feature-length films along with several shorts, encompassing creative documentaries, author fiction, and experimental films. Their films have showcased at renowned film festivals around the world, including the Venice, Berlinale, Locarno, Rotterdam, New York, Warsaw, Busan, as well as prominent venues such as the Pompidou Center in France, MoMA and Lincoln Center in the US, the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, UK, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in South Korea, and the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in China.
