Co-founded by Shengze Zhu and Zhengfan Yang, who have been collaborating as dynamic duo since 2010, Burn The Film is devoted to producing audiovisual works with a singular vision.

Since 2012, Burn The Film has produced four feature-length films and a number of shorts, including creative documentary, experimental film and author fiction. Its work has been exhibited widely at international film festivals such as the Venice, Locarno, Rotterdam, Vancouver, Warsaw, Yamagata, Jeonju, Taipei and Melbourne, as well as at venues such as the Pompidou Center (France), Lincoln Center (USA), Institute of Contemporary Art Boston (USA), National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (South Korea) and Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (China).

Burn The Film's latest work includes WHERE ARE YOU GOING (2016), winner of the Best Experimental Film Award at South Taiwan Film Festival and the Jury Award at China Independent Film Festival; and ANOTHER YEAR (2016), winner of the Sesterce d’or - Best Film Award at Visions du Réel (Switzerland) and the Grand Prize at RIDM Montreal International Documentary Festival.
